As well as being highly effective for cosmetic treatments, our Laser System can be used to perform a number of ground breaking treatments for a wide range of medical conditions.

Our procedures, whilst well tried and tested in Europe and The Americas, have only relatively recently been introduced in Australia.

They all share the following benefits:

Non surgical
Unlike surgery they doesn’t involve injections, cutting, bleeding or sutures.

Virtually painless
There can be a sensation of heat at times, but most people find any discomfort to be minimal.

No down time
They are quick walk in and walk out procedures, with no preparation required prior to treatment and no disruption to activities afterwards.

No complications
There are no reported problems with treatment, and no need for pain killers or antibiotics.

Gynaecological procedures

As women become older a range of medical problems can become apparent due to “vaginal relaxation syndrome”. This refers to a weakening of pelvic floor muscles and stretching or laxity of the vaginal walls, especially after childbirth and menopause.

A number of medical problems can arise from this including:

  • stress urinary incontinence (leakage of urine when exercising, bending, coughing or laughing)
  • pelvic organ prolapse (slipping down of structures such as the uterus, bladder or rectum)
  • vaginal atrophy (a thinning of the lining of the vaginal walls)

These problems can occur both solely or in combination. Even in the absence of the problems above, many women find that vaginal laxity is in itself an issue as it can lead to dryness, a lack of sexual gratification and even pain.

Until recently, if simple measures such as Kegel exercises didn’t alleviate these issues, only surgical options had been available. Not only are surgical procedures, including the use of meshes and slings, uncomfortable and time consuming, they have high rates of failure and complications.

Remedy Laser is pleased to introduce a range on non-surgical, painless, safe and effective procedures for these gynaecological problems. This family of laser procedures includes:

  • IncontiLase™ for stress urinary incontinence
  • ProlapLase™ for pelvic organ prolapse
  • IntimaLase™ for vaginal tightening
  • RenovaLase™ for vaginal atrophy (coming soon)

Whilst each procedure is specifically tailored to the problem being treated, they are all similar. Treating a particular problem therefore helps remedy all of the other conditions.

All our gynaecological procedures use our medical grade Er:YAG laser.

Snoring and mild obstructive sleep apnoea

Laxity of tissues at the back of the mouth with increasing age contributes to airway obstruction whilst sleeping. This obstruction can be worsened by other factors such as obesity, excessive alcohol intake and sleeping position.

Snoring occurs as a consequence of breathing through a partially obstructed airway. Obstructive sleep apnoea refers to a medical condition where a complete obstruction of your airway during sleep causes you to be roused. Your body actually wakes you up to force you to breathe.

Severe cases of obstructive sleep apnoea can be life threatening, so it is important to have this condition diagnosed. The established standard for the treatment of sleep apnoea is the use of a CPAP machine whilst sleeping. Although most people find them cumbersome, they are absolutely required for severe sleep apnoea.

Mild sleep apnoea and snoring can also be successfully treated with CPAP machines. However there is now a much more pleasant and less cumbersome way of dealing with these problems.

Remedy Laser is pleased to introduce NightLase™, a non-surgical, painless, safe and effective laser treatment for snoring and mild sleep apnoea. As part of the assessment of your snoring, one of our doctors will diagnose whether you also suffer from sleep apnoea. If it is felt to be necessary, they will organise a sleep study to assess the severity of your apnoea, before determining if NightLase™ would be a suitable treatment for you.

NightLase™ uses our medical grade Er:YAG laser.

Laser treatment of feet and hands

Remedy Laser uses a medical grade Nd:YAG laser to treat fungal nail infections and plantar warts.

Fungal nail infections are caused by a variety of fungi and plantar warts are caused by a variety of human papilloma viruses. The aim of treatment is to use laser energy to specifically target these organisms and destroy them, without causing any damage to surrounding tissue.

The results might not be immediately apparent after laser treatment but, as the organisms have been eliminated, in time the body’s natural processes will erase all traces of these conditions.
